Girl Scouting has been a strong and positive influence in my life, and I am privileged to take on this leadership role during the movement's 100th anniversary year. Our mission of building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place is very powerful. We all possess a high level of commitment and passion towards making Girl Scouts the premier organization for girls and, together, we will take the right steps to ensure relevancy and sustainability for the next 100 years. Relevancy means our program continues to respond to girl interests and needs - we make a difference in their lives. Sustainability can be though of as girl recruitment, volunteer recruitment and strong and diverse revenue streams - having the resources in place to continually evolve and grow our program.
I look forward to working alongside each of you to make great things happen for our girls. In that process, together, we will develop the leadership of tomorrow.
