Seeking Nominations for 2011 Women of Distinction

Girl Scouts, Hornets' Nest Council is opening the nomination process for the 2011 Women of Distinction luncheon.  A lifetime achievement recipient will be chosen as well as women in four specific achievement areas that are integral components of the Girl Scout program, both nationally and locally.  A young Woman of Distinction will also be honored.  This award goes to a young woman who has earned the highest award in Girl Scouting, The Gold Award, in the past ten years and made a significant impact on her community.  Nominations are due September 30, 2010.

The Women of Distinction achievement areas are: Achievement in Community Building and Social Capital, Achievement in Environmental Leadership, Achievement in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math and Achievement in Sports, Health & Fitness.

The chosen recipients will be honored at the April 13, 2011 Women of Distinction luncheon to be held at The Westin Charlotte.  To nominate a Woman of Distinction, please visit http://hngirlscouts.org/support-girl-scouts/women-of-distinction.
