Leadership is a journey.
Let’s get going.

Travel the World

Girls go global.

When Girl Scouts travel, we develop a new perspective on the world as our eyes are opened to unimagined possibilities!

There are unique opportunities in our country and abroad that Girl Scouts get the opportunity to participate in through GSUSA. Girl Scouts can plan trips with their troops and get involved with Girl Scout Destinations, a unique program that aligns Girl Scout programming with national programs and experiences.

Troops can create trip itineraries to explore the world and learn more about themselves and others.

In addition to local and national trips, international travel opportunities give girls the chance to make new friends, build leadership skills and share ideas with girls globally.

Travel

Girl Scouts love to travel—from the field trips they take as Brownies to the global adventures they go on as teens. If you love exploring different places and cultures, then Girl Scouts is the place for you!  Ready to go, but don’t know how to get there?  Come to our first #girlstravel workshop, where you’ll learn how to plan, pack and pay for your trip from a group of savvy, world traveling, women.

Check out Girl Scout Destinations and Getaways, the ultimate adventure for girls age 11 and up.  With a ton of different trips to apply for every year—from surfing camp on the east coast and breathtaking hikes out west, to the crazy-cool wonder of new cultures abroad—there’s something amazing for everyone to experience.

Money-Earning Activities for Travel

Travel excitement, anticipation and planning begin long before you pack! Fundraising and money-earning are important parts of the travel experience. You just won’t see them on the itinerary.

Besides helping defray trip costs, money-earning teaches important life skills including goal setting, budgeting and team-building. It instantly engages you in the tour planning process, promotes strong camaraderie and can help you earn a badge. By working together for a common goal, girls and adults become truly invested in their tour. The excitement builds knowing that every dollar earned will lead to an incredible adventure.
