Discovery Daze (Full day, 1-2 hour In-Person sessions)

We can’t think of anything better than a day full of enrichment trainings with fellow Girl Scout volunteers! Sessions range from outdoor cooking to egg shell painting and all points in between! No matter which courses you sign up for, you’re sure to learn something new and fun to take back to your girls! Register for our April 1st training.

First Aid and CPR (6 hours, In-Person Course)

Complete The American Heart Association HeartSaver First Aid course and learn to recognize and treat medical, injury and environmental emergencies in the critical first minutes before EMS arrives. HeartSaver CPR includes one-rescuer CPR for adults, children and infants using mouth-to-mouth ventilation and mouth-to-mask ventilation. You’ll also learn techniques for obstructed airways and for conscious and unconscious adults, children and infants. Includes mannequin practice and written evaluation.

Focus on Abilities — Working with Girl Scouts with Disabilities (2 hours, In-Person Course)

Hosted by Disability Rights and Resources, join us to learn how to work with Girl Scouts who have ADD/ADHD, autism, learning, physical and/or other disabilities. We will discuss resources, how to interact with parents of those Girl Scouts, and how to address discipline or behavior issues.

Understanding Journeys (2 Hours, In-Person Course)

Today’s girls want to do more than follow a set of instructions. They want to reflect, make choices, take action, and determine their own paths. Journeys are the exciting, flexible foundation for yearlong activities that girls help plan in collaboration with adult volunteers. Join us for a deep dive into the National Program Portfolio and walk away with ideas, resources, and a plan on how to help your girls complete a Journey!

Kick Off (Full day, 1-2 hour In-Person sessions)

All adult volunteers are invited to our annual, council-wide Kickoff to the new membership year. Sessions will cover Girl Scout topics and present updated information to prepare volunteers and leaders for a great Girl Scout year! Contact your Membership Specialist for additional details.

Leader Prep (2 Hours, In-Person Course)

Join this orientation with an experienced Girl Scout volunteer to learn about the specifics of being a Girl Scout leader. Learn to organize and register a troop, plan meetings, work with parents, troop finances and council policies. After this course, and clearing a criminal background check, you’ll be ready for your first troop meeting!

Mental Health First Aid  (8 hours, In-Person Course)

Join us for this nationwide program to learn how you can help an individual displaying signs or symptoms of a mental illness by connecting them with the appropriate professional, peer, social or self-care.
