Learn about two important aspects of nuclear science and technology with teammates from Catawba Nuclear Station in York, S.C.: the fission process and how splitting atoms releases energy through radiation; and how radiation and radioactivity are natural parts of our world. Each session will include a short explanation of how a nuclear power plant generates clean, life-essential energy.
There are two sessions: 1/29 and 2/5. Girls can attend both sessions as they will cover different information!
