About Us

We’re a hive of activity. And proud of it.

Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council has one focus. Girls. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. We received our charter in 1935 and today, we serve a membership of 17,000 girls and adults in eight counties in North and South Carolina. These include Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York (SC).

Use this section to review our Council Overview, which provides quick facts about Girl Scouting, as well as financial reports. View our Hours of Operation and a list of our Board of Directors. Meet our Staff and learn more about the CEO of Hornets’ Nest. Do you want to join our team? Check out our Employment Opportunities; we post these along with qualifications and recommended experience to join our nest. In short, we are here to serve girls, parents and volunteers and we welcome your interest and passion.
