Writing a strong college essay can feel overwhelming, but Girl Scouts have a unique advantage their experiences! In this workshop, Girl Scouts will learn how to highlight the leadership, problem-solving, and community impact they've gained through badges, awards, travel, and service projects. Through guided activities, brainstorming exercises, and writing prompts, participants will discover how to transform their Girl Scout stories into powerful, authentic essays that showcase who they are beyond grades and test scores. By the end of the session, girls will leave with a clear essay outline, tips for telling their story with confidence, and tools to stand out in the college admissions process.

As a friendly reminder, we ask that all parents and guardians complete the Girl Scout Contact Information Form before arrival. You can find the form here. Additionally, please note that all Girl Scouts must be signed in by an authorized adult. A valid photo ID will be required to ensure the safety of all participants. For safety reasons, Girl Scouts will not be released to anyone not listed on the form or without proper identification.
Cancellation Policy
Participants who make a cancellation/refund request 30 days or more before an event will receive a refund of 100% of registration fees. * Participants who make a cancellation/refund request 15 days or more before an event will receive a refund of 50% of registration fees. * Participants who make a cancellation/refund request less than 15 days before an event, no refund will be issued. * Refunds will not be given for programs or events under $5.00. * Refunds for family emergency or serious illness will only be processed if notification is made before the event and is followed up within two weeks by a written refund request. For serious illness, a doctor's written note is required within two weeks after the program. A full refund will be provided. * All requests must be sent to customercare@hngirlscouts.org * No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
