When you plan your own Girl Scout trip—whether it’s Brownies packing their first weekend bag or Seniors boarding a plane to check out Girl Scout history in Savannah, Georgia—you’ll build courage, confidence, and lifelong skills like organization, time management, and how to work as team to succeed when things don’t go as planned.
You’ll also build connections outside your own community and make memories to last a lifetime.
Wherever you’re looking to travel—even to countries around the world—Girl Scouts can get you there.
Gold Award Girl Scout Jaiden Weaver ('26) created three travel-focused workshops to support Girl Scouts and volunteers across Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council, whether they are traveling locally, out of state, or internationally. As part of her sustainability efforts, Jaiden partnered with the Program Department to develop curriculum and presentations that will continue to be used for years to come.
There are three presentations available:
• One designed for
adults (parents, troop leaders, service unit managers)
• One
designed for younger Girl Scouts (Daisies–Juniors)
• One
designed for older Girl Scouts (Cadettes–Ambassadors)
These workshops help girls and volunteers better understand the full travel experience, including planning, budgeting, preparation, safety practices, and knowing what to expect before, during, and after a trip. Each presentation builds confidence, encourages girl-led decision-making, and sparks excitement about exploring new places through Girl Scouts.
If you would like to schedule one of these presentations for your troop, service unit, or event, please contact CustomerCare@hngirlscouts.org.
If you're in 6th grade or older, you can travel independently and meet Girl Scouts from around the world on Girl Scout Destinations.
