The 2026 Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in Uptown Charlotte is a vibrant and inspiring community tradition that brings together residents, youth groups, civic leaders, cultural organizations, faith communities, and local businesses to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This powerful annual celebration transforms the heart of the city into a moving tribute to Dr. King's vision of unity, justice, equality, and service.
Participants will march through Uptown with beautifully designed floats, dynamic performances, school bands, dance teams, and community organizations proudly showcasing messages of hope and empowerment. Families and spectators line the streets to celebrate Charlotte's diversity and collective commitment to carrying Dr. King's dream forward.
The parade also highlights the importance of service, leadership, and community engagement, calling each of us to reflect on Dr. King's enduring message and the work that still lies ahead. Whether you are marching or cheering from the sidelines, the 2026 MLK Parade offers a meaningful opportunity to come together, uplift our community, and honor a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
