Upon completion of this course, you will be certified for two years in Adult and Child First Aid, CPR, and AED through the Red Cross. One adult with this certification is required to be present for most Girl Scout events and activities. This training is blended, with both online and in-person instruction.
After the registration deadline, you will receive an email with detailed information on completing the required online portion of this class. All online coursework must be completed before the in-person component. The online portion will take between 3-5 hours to complete. This is a scenario-based class, and there will be a lot of hands-on practice of skills. Participants need to be physically able to kneel for up to five minutes. Comfortable and nonrestrictive clothing is recommended.
*GSHNC volunteer trainings are adult, member-only, and council-only, events. Children of attendees may not accompany adults to this training, please ensure alternate arrangements have been made.
