About Hornets' Nest

We’re a hive of activity. And proud of it.

Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council has one focus. Girls. Our mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. We received our charter in 1939 and are now amongst the oldest and largest girl organizations in the Carolinas.

Today, we serve nearly 8,000 girls and adults in eight counties across North and South Carolina including Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York (SC). Our programs provide leadership opportunities for today’s G.I.R.L. (go-getter, innovator, risk taker, leader) ™.
