Become a wetland scientist for the day at McDowell! Wetlands are unique ecosystems that help protect wildlife, filter water, and reduce flooding-but they aren't always easy to identify.

During this hands-on program, participants will learn what defines a wetland and explore how scientists determine whether an area qualifies as one. We'll search for clues in the soil, plants, and water while discovering why wetlands are so important to our environment. Come explore, investigate, and experience the science behind these fascinating habitats!
