Treats & Reads, our fall product program, is a great way to support local Girl Scouts! Purchase delicious snacks and fun magazines while funding troop adventures and leadership programs.
Treats & Reads is a Council-approved product sales program that enables Girl Scout troops to set goals, learn about an animal, and earn funds to kick off their Girl Scout year.
100% of the proceeds stay local to benefit Hornets’ Nest Council. Girl Scout troops earn 15% for every item sold during the Treats & Reads Program. In addition, girls can earn patches and rewards, such as a personalized avatar patch. Set this up, and more, online.

The Girl Scouts Treats & Reads Fall Product Program is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a powerful, hands-on opportunity for Girl Scouts to build confidence, learn essential life skills, and have fun doing it! Designed to be flexible and easy to participate in, girls can sell delicious snacks, magazines and more to friends, family, and neighbors, either in person or online.
Through this program, Girl Scouts develop key skills in goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. They get real-world experience with customer service, sales tracking, and marketing—all while working toward both personal and troop goals.
Parents love that it’s a low-pressure, high-impact way for their girls to gain independence, responsibility, and teamwork skills. And with every item sold, troops earn 15% of the proceeds to fund their Girl Scout adventures—from community service projects to camping trips and special events.
Girls also earn fun incentives. This year, the rewards consist of cuddly stuffed animals, a moon lamp, travel bags, jewelry, and more—making the experience even more rewarding.
