Charlotte, NC — Saturday, November 9th 2024 — The Girl Scouts Hornets' Nest is thrilled to announce the winner of the SheBiz finale, held on Saturday, November 9th at the Sonesta Hotel. This exciting event capped off an innovative multi-session entrepreneurial program designed for girls in grades 4-12, which empowers young women to develop their own business ideas while receiving invaluable mentorship from experts in business, marketing, finance, and operations.
The SheBiz program, which spanned several weeks, provided participants with the tools, skills, and confidence needed to bring their entrepreneurial visions to life. Through hands-on workshops, mentorship sessions, and collaborative projects, girls learned how to create business plans, market their ideas, and navigate the complexities of running a small business.
The finale event featured a "Shark Tank"-style pitch process where participants presented their business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges. Each girl delivered a compelling pitch, followed by a rigorous Q&A session where judges challenged their proposals, fostering an engaging and dynamic environment. Presentations were evaluated based on a detailed rubric assessing creativity, feasibility, market potential, and presentation skills.
